Nancy graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Niagara College in 1979, went on to work for a denturist and later in a general dental office. Nancy then graduated from Niagara College as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 1985 and has spent 23 years working as a hygienist in a dental office.
As of September 2007, legistlation changed giving dental hygienists the right to practice independently, thus allowing the public to choose where and with whom they wanted their preventative dental hygiene services.
In 2009, Choice Independent Dental Hygiene opened its doors to the public offering flexible hours including Saturdays and evenings.
Nancy has given her time to the community by giving presentations at community health centres, libraries and non profit organizations around the Greater Fort Erie area.
